About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a dedicated IT Specialist to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining robust IT infrastructure and providing essential technical support to ensure seamless operations within our hotel environment. The role involves a blend of technical maintenance, troubleshooting, and direct end-user assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive end-user support, including troubleshooting and resolving technical problems related to computer software, systems, internet access, hardware, and peripheral equipment.
• Install, configure, and modify workstations, encompassing the setup of cables, desktop computers, laptops, docking stations, and printers.
• Manage user accounts, including setup, removal, and password resets, to ensure confidentiality and proper system use.
• Maintain and upgrade hardware, software, and website technical architecture related to hardware and telecommunication connectivity.
• Perform system backups and secure all backup tapes, as well as computer and telephone rooms.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose computer equipment and systems, referring major problems or defective products to vendors or technicians.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all technology devices.
• Educate users on procedures for securing Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or * equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience in an IT support or specialist role.
• No supervisory experience is required for this position.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.

Skills and Attributes

• Strong communication skills to exchange information with colleagues and address guest service needs effectively.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members and other departments.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical problems, including responding to program error messages.
• A proactive approach to maintaining computer networks, server systems, and supporting software.
