About the Role

Saudi Air Navigation Services (SANS) is seeking a Knowledge & Insights Researcher to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time role is central to enhancing R&D initiatives by providing critical market insights. The position requires 0-1 years of experience, focusing on gathering, analyzing, and disseminating information related to air navigation systems technology, competitor intelligence, and industry trends.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to manage a centralized knowledge platform, ensuring stakeholders have access to relevant data that supports R&D initiatives. The Knowledge & Insights Researcher will contribute to innovation by identifying opportunities, addressing gaps, and driving continuous improvement in alignment with established KPIs, budgets, and policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to provide actionable intelligence for R&D.
• Collaborate with R&D project delivery teams, such as Research Scientists, to gather insights on specific focus areas or projects.
• Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities, threats, and potential collaborations within the R&D landscape, ensuring alignment with SANS’s strategic goals.
• Generate periodic reports summarizing external trends and their implications for SANS’s innovation strategies.
• Maintain and store market insights and research findings according to best practices.
• Facilitate the dissemination of insights by creating and curating content tailored to the needs of project teams and decision-makers.
• Design and implement processes to capture internal knowledge and integrate it with external market data for a holistic view.
• Provide structured and timely information to project leads and senior management to support strategic decisions and prioritization of R&D initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret data and translate findings into actionable innovation plans.
• Host regular briefings, workshops, or webinars to share findings and facilitate discussions on their implications for ongoing projects.
• Develop predictive models or scenarios to support forward-looking decision-making within the R&D department.
• Use research findings to identify gaps, inefficiencies, or emerging opportunities within the R&D ecosystem.
• Develop metrics and KPIs to evaluate the impact of insights on R&D projects and processes.
• Recommend strategic adjustments to improve the quality, relevance, and impact of R&D outputs based on data and insights.
• Collaborate with the Innovation Head to track and report on the adoption of an innovation culture across the organization.

• Conduct day-to-day activities in compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes, considering leading practices, changes in the business environment, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.
