About the Role

Careers International is seeking to hire five PM Operators for a tissue manufacturing facility located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of experience in tissue manufacturing operations. The role focuses on ensuring efficient production and maintaining product quality on high-speed tissue machines.

Role Overview

The PM Operator will be responsible for the operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of tissue paper machines. This includes managing machine start-ups, shutdowns, and grade changes, as well as addressing operational issues such as web breaks and sheet instability. A key aspect of this role involves maintaining stable machine performance and ensuring that all products meet specified quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor tissue paper machines to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
• Perform machine start-ups, shutdowns, and grade changes in accordance with established operating procedures.
• Troubleshoot production issues, including web breaks and sheet instability, to minimize downtime.
• Monitor creping blade operations and maintain stable machine performance parameters.
• Read process trends and identify operational deviations promptly.
• Conduct quality tests and ensure that all manufactured products meet required specifications.
• Monitor machine parameters and support the achievement of production targets.
• Identify potential operational risks and adhere strictly to industrial safety procedures.
• Coordinate effectively with maintenance and production teams to minimize operational downtime.
• Maintain accurate operating records and follow shift handover procedures diligently.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 3-5 years of technical experience in tissue manufacturing, with a preference for experience on high-speed tissue machines operating at 1,800–2,000 MPM.
• Demonstrated experience in machine start-ups, shutdowns, grade changes, and troubleshooting during production operations.
• Knowledge of web breaks, sheet instability, creping blade operations, process trends, and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to maintain product quality specifications and perform quality tests on high-speed machines.
• Ability to identify operational risks and ensure compliance with all safety standards.

Work Environment

This role is based in a tissue manufacturing facility in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The PM Operator will work as part of a production team, collaborating closely with maintenance and other operational staff to ensure continuous and efficient manufacturing processes.
