About the Role

Careers International is seeking an experienced Shift In Charge – Tissue Manufacturing to oversee shift operations in a tissue manufacturing facility in Jeddah. This full-time role involves ensuring production efficiency, maintaining product quality, and upholding industrial safety standards within the plant. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage shift operations within the tissue manufacturing plant.
• Monitor tissue machine performance to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
• Maintain production quality in accordance with established tissue quality standards.
• Monitor machine parameters, stock preparation, and tissue formation processes.
• Ensure optimal operation of tissue machines, Yankee dryers, shoe presses, and related systems.
• Identify production issues and coordinate corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with industrial safety procedures, including LOTO.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, and quality control teams to achieve production targets.
• Maintain shift reports and ensure proper handover between shifts.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, ** in Chemistry, or a Bachelor’s degree in Paper Technology (for candidates outside the MENA region).
• 3–5 years of experience in tissue manufacturing, including shift management in a supervisory role.
• Experience with high-speed tissue machines operating at 1,800–2,000 MPM is preferred.
• Experience with Crescent Former Tissue Machines, stock preparation, and headbox formation geometry.
• Knowledge of shoe press technology, Yankee dryers, cogeneration, and dual hood systems.
• Good understanding of tissue quality standards, including softness, moisture, sheet strength, formation, and bulk.
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards, NEBOSH principles, and LOTO procedures.
• Experience with Valmet, Andritz, or Toscotec machines is preferred.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, requiring on-site presence to manage shift operations within the tissue manufacturing facility. The role involves close coordination with various production and support teams.
