Pool & Recreation Supervisor

About the Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Pool & Recreation Supervisor for a full-time position in Jeddah. This role involves overseeing recreational activities and facilities, ensuring guest safety and satisfaction, and maintaining equipment. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and advertise recreational activity agendas using publishing software.
• Conduct inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment, reporting low stock to management.
• Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests for recreation activities.
• Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere while informing guests about available facilities and activities.
• Enforce recreation facility rules and regulations to ensure guest and member safety.
• Monitor activity in the recreational facility and respond to emergencies according to local operating procedures.
• Identify situations where guests may not safely participate in an activity and inform supervisors.
• Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies.

Operational Duties

• Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees, serving as a role model.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and complete required safety training.
• Adhere to company policies, maintain a professional appearance, protect proprietary information, and safeguard company assets.
• Anticipate and address guest service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate professionally, answer telephones appropriately, and foster positive working relationships.
• Process customer orders or transactions and collect payments as needed.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, identifying and implementing improvements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, and inspect tools or equipment for defects.
• Proficiency in using computers and/or point-of-sale systems for work-related information.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently, and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Skill in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Capability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, including stairs and ramps.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
