Project Manager / Senior Project Manager Infrastructure

About the Role

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Manager - Infrastructure to support the delivery of major infrastructure and masterplan development projects in Makkah and Jeddah. This full-time role involves managing multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring successful project execution, and maintaining strong client relationships. The Project Manager will ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.

Role Context and Impact

As a key member of the Transport & Infrastructure team, the Project Manager / Senior Project Manager will provide leadership throughout the project lifecycle. This position supports strategic growth objectives and contributes to the successful delivery of significant infrastructure programmes across Saudi Arabia. The role requires a commercially aware and client-focused professional capable of managing complex stakeholder environments while delivering high-quality project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management & Delivery: Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of large-scale infrastructure and masterplan development projects. Manage multidisciplinary design and project delivery teams across all project phases. Develop project execution plans, schedules, resource forecasts, and delivery strategies. Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions.
• Client Relationship & Stakeholder Management: Act as a primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction. Manage communications with government authorities, developers, contractors, and project partners. Lead project meetings and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Commercial & Financial Management: Monitor project budgets, forecasts, resource utilisation, and commercial performance. Support contract administration, change management, and commercial reporting activities. Manage project risks and ensure mitigation measures are implemented. Contribute to profitability targets through effective project planning.
• Technical Leadership & Coordination: Provide technical leadership and oversight on infrastructure and masterplan development projects. Ensure engineering solutions align with client requirements, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices. Coordinate multidisciplinary design inputs and project deliverables.
• Governance, Risk & Compliance: Ensure compliance with project management processes, company procedures, and governance frameworks. Support project risk identification, management, and reporting activities. Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and technical excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

• A strong technical engineering background, preferably in Civil Engineering.
• Proven experience of 10+ years working for leading international engineering consultancies.
• Demonstrated experience on large-scale infrastructure and masterplan development projects in Saudi Arabia.
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments effectively.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in the Makkah region, specifically covering projects in Jeddah and Makkah. The role involves working within a dynamic Transport & Infrastructure team, contributing to significant national development initiatives.
