Senior Mechanic

About the Role

Al Tuwairqi Group is seeking a Senior Mechanic to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time role involves implementing all maintenance-related activities as instructed by the Foreman, contributing to maintenance development, and ensuring compliance with established procedures. The Senior Mechanic will focus on maintaining smooth equipment operation, particularly for forklifts and cranes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform work assignments as directed by the Foreman.
• Address and resolve troubleshooting tasks efficiently.
• Implement preventive maintenance according to the established schedule.
• Execute necessary repair work on equipment.
• Ensure the proper care of tools and equipment, and maintain personnel safety.
• Coordinate effectively with the Foreman and other relevant staff members.

Equipment Supervision

The Senior Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance and care of all forklifts and cranes, ensuring their operational readiness and safety.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) Compliance

• Understand and adhere to all organizational HS&E policies.
• Follow safety instructions pertinent to job tasks.
• Report any damaged Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), unsafe machines, or equipment to the appropriate staff.
• Maintain provided PPE in good, workable condition.
• Refrain from any horseplay or misuse of safety devices, equipment, and welfare facilities.
• Report all accidents, near misses, or hazardous conditions to the responsible party.
• Attend all scheduled safety trainings.
• Exercise the right to decline any unsafe work.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field. Essential knowledge includes forklift and crane maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety procedures.

Internal and External Contacts

This role requires regular interaction with forklift operators, stores personnel, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
