Role Overview

Avensys Consulting is seeking a Senior Storage Administrator to join their team in Makkah, with work locations in Jeddah and Makkah. This is a contract position requiring extensive experience in managing enterprise storage solutions. The role focuses on the administration of SAN/NAS storage environments, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and data protection.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer enterprise SAN/NAS storage, LUNs, RAID, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI.
• Manage storage capacity, performance, and availability.
• Perform storage provisioning, replication, backup, and snapshot operations.
• Monitor storage performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Handle P1/P2 incidents, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and manage infrastructure changes.
• Support multi-site data centers and critical production environments.
• Contribute to capacity planning for storage infrastructure.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of experience in Enterprise Storage, Data Center Infrastructure, and Backup environments.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAN/NAS storage administration within enterprise data center environments.
• Proficient in managing storage capacity, performance, availability, and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of SAN, NAS, storage connectivity, and high-availability storage environments.
• Experience with VMware/Hyper-V/Nutanix and their integration with enterprise storage platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Veeam, Commvault, ExaGrid, Synology NAS, or similar backup/storage technologies.
• Experience with Azure Storage and Azure Backup is considered an advantage.
• Strong understanding of backup, disaster recovery, RPO/RTO, and data protection principles.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage critical incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Proficiency in capacity planning and implementing infrastructure changes.
