Marriott International is seeking a Systems Operator / IT Coordinator to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time position is central to ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, providing essential technical support across the property.

Role Summary

As a Systems Operator / IT Coordinator, you will be responsible for the comprehensive support of computer hardware and software systems. This includes troubleshooting, repair, and ongoing maintenance, alongside offering technical guidance to resolve operational issues. The role involves active participation in responding to technical incidents, coordinating with external vendors, and executing various IT operational and support tasks to maintain system integrity and performance.

Core Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair technical problems related to computer hardware and peripheral equipment.
• Address program error messages by identifying and correcting issues or terminating affected programs.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to resolve business-related IT problems.
• Refer major hardware/software issues or defective products to appropriate vendors or technicians for service.
• Operate computer and peripheral equipment, such as printers, by entering commands and activating controls to ensure integrated functionality.
• Maintain and upgrade hardware and software, including peripherals like printers and scanners, and manage website technical architecture related to hardware and telecommunication connectivity.
• Enter and locate work-related information efficiently using computers and point-of-sale systems.

Workplace Operations and Safety

• Report work-related accidents or injuries immediately to management or supervisors.
• Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions, or report them to management and security/safety personnel.
• Adhere to property-specific procedures for handling emergency situations, including evacuations, medical emergencies, and natural disasters.
• Communicate effectively with other employees through verbal exchange and electronic devices such as pagers, two-way radios, and email.
• Read and visually verify information presented in various formats, including small print.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify any defects.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• No related work experience is required, making this an ideal opportunity for individuals with 0-1 years of experience.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No specific license or certification is required for this role.

Physical Demands

The role requires the ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Candidates must also be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Other reasonable job duties may be requested by supervisors.
