About the Role
Lucid Motors Saudi Arabia is seeking a Production Supervisor for Chassis and Final assembly operations at its facility in King Abdullah Economic City. This full-time position involves leading day-to-day production activities, overseeing teams, and ensuring efficient, high-quality manufacturing within a fast-paced automotive environment. The role is crucial for supporting new product and process launches, requiring close collaboration with various departments to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet output, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Ensure adherence to automotive quality systems, safety standards, and company policies.
- Monitor production performance, analyze downtime, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead, motivate, and develop production team members through clear direction, coaching, and performance management.
- Collaborate with Quality, PFS, Maintenance, PE, ME, and Logistics teams to resolve production issues.
- Ensure proper use and availability of equipment, tools, and materials.
- Enforce workplace safety, housekeeping standards, and environmental regulations.
- Execute Leader Standard Work, including Gemba walks, shift start-up checks, line readiness verification, and routine process confirmation.
- Promote a strong safety-first culture by proactively identifying hazards and ensuring timely incident reporting and corrective actions.
- Ensure built-in quality by verifying standardized work, confirming critical-to-quality steps, and escalating abnormalities.
- Lead structured tier meetings and shift briefings to communicate priorities, confirm staffing, review performance, and escalate issues.
- Coach Team Leaders and Team Members to resolve problems at the lowest level using problem-solving methods.
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, standardized work, and visual management.
- Manage workforce planning, including manpower allocation, shift coverage, attendance, and skills coverage.
- Ensure synchronous material flow by coordinating receiving, warehousing, line-side supply, and finished goods movement.
- Support flawless execution of new part and process launches through production readiness planning and cross-functional coordination.
- Implement engineering changes through the formal change management process, ensuring documentation accuracy, team training, and updates to standardized work.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to guide, motivate, and develop teams.
- Strong safety awareness with an understanding of shop floor safety standards and compliance requirements.
- Solid understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and assembly operations.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, structured problem-solving tools, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to interpret production data, KPIs, and technical documentation.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Working knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Office and manufacturing systems (ERP / MES).
- Ability to manage workforce planning, including manpower allocation, shift coverage, attendance, and skills coverage.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory role within automotive manufacturing, or 5–8 years of experience in industrial manufacturing.
- Experience managing production teams in a high-volume environment.
- Familiarity with quality systems and ISO standards.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends as per production requirements.
- Eligible to work in Saudi Arabia (Saudi nationals preferred, where applicable, in line with Saudization policies).
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in King Abdullah Economic City. The role operates within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment, requiring adaptability and a commitment to operational excellence.
