About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Assistant Cost Controller to join our team in Medina, Al Madinah. This full-time position is ideal for individuals with 0-1 year of experience who are looking to develop their skills in financial accuracy and record-keeping within the hospitality sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
  • Organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash, and cash equivalents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Record, store, access, and analyze computerized financial information.
  • Maintain accurate electronic spreadsheets for financial and accounting data.
  • Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and maintain financial records using journals, ledgers, and/or computers.
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables.
  • Complete period-end closing procedures and reports as specified.
  • Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements according to company procedures.

Operational Compliance and Guest Relations

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
  • Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.

Communication and Teamwork

  • Communicate effectively using clear and professional language.
  • Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
  • Answer telephones and emails using appropriate etiquette.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Support the team in achieving common goals and respond appropriately to concerns from other employees.

Physical Requirements and General Duties

  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess 0-1 year of relevant experience. A strong understanding of financial principles and meticulous attention to detail are essential for this role.
