About the Opportunity

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSH) in Medina is seeking a dedicated Consultant, Medical Oncology to join its medical team. This full-time position involves the expert diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases and conditions, alongside the provision of comprehensive medical care in the specialized field of Medical Oncology. The role operates in strict accordance with current medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and established Hospital policies and procedures.

Role Summary

The Consultant, Medical Oncology is integral to delivering high-quality patient care and specialized medical services within KFSH. This position requires a commitment to clinical excellence, meticulous medical record-keeping, and active participation in the hospital's educational and professional development initiatives. The successful candidate will ensure all clinical activities comply with regulatory standards and internal protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care across all aspects of Medical Oncology, in line with approved clinical privileges.
• Deliver timely consultation services for inpatient and emergency room requests, adhering to prescribed hospital timeframes.
• Ensure the timely completion, accuracy, and legibility of all medical records.
• Participate in on-call services, ensuring availability and prompt response within hospital policy guidelines.
• Conduct daily morning rounds to identify patients suitable for transfer or discharge.
• Ensure that transfer or discharge orders are documented 24 hours prior to the scheduled event.
• Perform additional clinical responsibilities related to the specialty as assigned.
• Provide orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows.
• Actively participate in the Department’s educational activities and training programs.
• Engage in national and international medical conferences to stay current with advancements.
• Maintain and enhance professional knowledge through continuous education.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of seven (7) years of specialized training in Medical Oncology or a related subspecialty.
• Postgraduate training experience must cumulatively equal or exceed seven (7) years in the subspecialty.
