Host/Hostess

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Host/Hostess to join their team in Medina. This full-time position is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on providing a welcoming and organized dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and determine the number in their party.
• Seat guests efficiently at clean, available tables, ensuring chairs are pulled out and current menus are presented.
• Guide guests through dining areas and offer assistance as needed.
• Arrange tables, chairs, and settings, organizing seating for groups with specific requirements.
• Verify that place settings are complete with napkins, clean silverware, and all standard items.
• Inspect menus for currency, cleanliness, quantity, and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day using "clean-as-you-go" procedures.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, and guest safety and well-being.
• Adhere to all company safety and security policies, reporting incidents and completing required training.
• Ensure a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, maintaining confidentiality and protecting company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, using clear and professional language.
• Answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.
• Foster positive working relationships, support team goals, and address employee concerns professionally.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
