Host/Hostess

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Host/Hostess to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah. This full-time position involves providing a welcoming experience for guests and ensuring smooth operations within the dining areas. The role requires 0-1 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and determine the size of their party.
• Seat guests efficiently at clean, available tables, assisting with chairs and providing menus.
• Guide guests through dining rooms and offer any necessary assistance.
• Arrange tables, chairs, and settings, and organize seating for groups with special requirements.
• Ensure all place settings are complete with napkins, clean silverware, and other standard items.
• Verify that menus are current, clean, plentiful, and free of wrinkles.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, adhering to clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well-being.

Operational Duties

• Adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.

• Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Additional Duties

The Host/Hostess will perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors to support the efficient operation of the dining service.
