The Role: Mechanical Engineer

HCO is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Al Ula, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for supporting the delivery of a major construction project, focusing on the supervision and monitoring of all mechanical construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor mechanical construction activities across all project phases.
• Review mechanical design drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, mechanical codes, standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor mechanical installations to ensure adherence to approved designs.
• Supervise works related to HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection systems, and other mechanical services.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor and inspect the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve site-related mechanical issues.
• Ensure implementation of quality control procedures and project standards.
• Prepare inspection reports, technical documentation, and progress reports.
• Support project teams in achieving project schedules, quality objectives, and operational requirements.
• Coordinate and supervise onsite activities to ensure efficient project delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction and engineering projects.
• Previous experience working with Project Management Consultancy (PMC) organizations is mandatory.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical building systems.
• Solid understanding of mechanical codes, standards, quality control, and safety requirements.
• Experience in reviewing design documentation, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software.

Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, site-based environment within Al Ula, Saudi Arabia, contributing directly to project execution on the ground.
