About the Safety Officer Role

Nesma United Industries is seeking a Safety Officer to join their team in Al Madinah, specifically supporting operations in Yanbu and Medina. This full-time position requires a dedicated professional to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the effective implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and Loss Prevention Program (LPP) initiatives across project sites.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and lead toolbox meetings to reinforce safety protocols.
• Identify and report hazards, incidents, and any safety concerns to management promptly.
• Collaborate with clients and site teams to ensure ongoing HSE compliance.
• Investigate accidents thoroughly and propose corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Organize and conduct safety training sessions and coordinate emergency response procedures.
• Monitor the correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment by personnel.
• Maintain comprehensive HSE reports, records, and necessary documentation.
• Promote a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives on site.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma.
• Relevant certifications such as OSHA, NEBOSH, or IOSH.
• Approved Saudi Aramco Contractor Safety Officer qualification.
• A minimum of 3 years of direct working experience in HSE within the oil and gas industry, accumulating to a total of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced proficiency in both written and spoken English.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Al Madinah, with responsibilities extending to the operational areas of Yanbu and Medina. The role requires a commitment to maintaining high safety standards throughout these locations.
