Senior HSSEQ Expert Construction Project Experience Only

About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior HSSEQ Expert with experience in construction projects to join our team in Medina, Al Madinah. This full-time role focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining HSSEQ (Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Quality) management systems. The expert will ensure compliance with organizational, client, and regulatory requirements, providing strategic leadership to foster a strong safety culture and manage risks across projects and operations.

Role Purpose

The Senior HSSEQ Expert is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives in safety, environmental sustainability, and quality performance. This position involves close collaboration with leadership teams to enhance operational excellence and employee well-being. The role is critical in ensuring that all projects and operations adhere to the highest HSSEQ standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSSEQ policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and client HSSEQ requirements.
• Lead risk assessments, hazard identification programs, and mitigation strategies.
• Conduct HSSEQ audits, inspections, and performance reviews across operations and projects.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, environmental, and quality performance.
• Provide HSSEQ guidance and support to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver HSSEQ training, awareness programs, and competency initiatives.
• Prepare and present HSSEQ reports, KPI dashboards, and regulatory submissions to senior management.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and champion behavioral safety programs.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with HSSEQ standards.
• Support emergency preparedness, crisis management, and business continuity planning.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in HSSEQ roles, specifically within construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and maintain HSSEQ management systems.
• Strong understanding of local regulations, international standards, and client HSSEQ requirements.
• Proven leadership skills in promoting a safety culture and managing risks.
