Role Summary

The Shift Operator L is responsible for ensuring Safe Quality Low Cost Sustainable Tons (SQLCST) at their assigned post or workstation. This full-time position, located in Yanbu, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia, involves performing a variety of activities across multiple areas using complex equipment. The role requires continuous monitoring of operations to maintain product quality and inventory, along with providing coaching and guidance to develop technical expertise within the company. This role is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust process parameters to maintain safe and optimal conditions, ensuring smooth and stable operations.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance procedures.
• Accurately and promptly enter data into the shift logsheet, logbook, and Control Room system (*, SIC).
• Perform thorough and timely plant rounds to identify issues with plant/equipment and ensure safe, stable operations.
• Raise maintenance job requests in the system as applicable.
• Detect and report process deviations promptly, utilizing A3 investigation for process problems.
• Participate in incident investigations.
• Utilize IT systems for reporting and data gathering.
• Strictly follow and perform all normal and emergency start-up and shutdown tasks according to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure safe, stable, and error-free operations.
• Ensure all shift handover requirements are well-detailed, easy to understand, and maintain continuity of plant/process performance.
• Operate plant/equipment without guidance (*, field, localized DCS).
• Collect and deliver in-process samples for laboratory analysis.
• Participate in and assist team members with various tasks.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Basic knowledge of plant operations, manufacturing processes, technical safety, and standard operating procedures.
• Strong commitment to Health, Safety, Environment, and Sustainability (SHE).
• Good communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and planning skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a shift-based operational environment.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Yanbu, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia, and operates within a shift-based operational environment. The role requires active participation in a team setting and adherence to strict safety and operational protocols.
