About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Cook III to join its team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves preparing and cooking food items according to established standards and ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment. The role requires at least one year of related work experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare food items for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing.
• Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables; accurately measure, weigh, and mix ingredients.
• Cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation guidelines, and food preparation checklists.
• Prepare cold food items as required.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, ensuring proper food temperature.
• Monitor food quality throughout the preparation process.
• Set up the workstation and plate food in appropriate portion sizes and containers.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Ensure equipment and food temperatures are appropriate and maintained.

• Adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High School Diploma or * equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: A minimum of 1 year of related work experience is required.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.
• License or Certification: None specified.

The Cook III will perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors to support kitchen operations and team objectives.
