Design Coordinator

About the Role

Alpin is seeking an experienced Design Coordinator / Design Project Manager to support the delivery of a major development Master Plan project. This full-time position is based in the Jeddah-Makkah region, with potential work in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Makkah. The role requires a minimum of 10 years of professional experience.

Role Context

Working within an international multidisciplinary design environment, the successful candidate will act as Alpin's on-site representative. This involves coordinating technical activities, managing stakeholder interfaces, and ensuring collaboration between local project partners and Alpin's engineering teams. The position contributes to a large-scale urban development initiative in Saudi Arabia, working with international consultants and public stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee Alpin's design scope across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Act as the primary interface between Alpin and project stakeholders.
• Participate in technical meetings with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities.
• Gather, consolidate, and communicate project requirements, decisions, and technical information to Alpin's engineering teams.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of design outputs, reports, submissions, and technical deliverables.
• Facilitate communication among multidisciplinary project teams and support design integration.
• Prepare presentations and technical updates for clients and stakeholders.
• Support stakeholder management activities related to Alpin's services.
• Contribute to business development initiatives by maintaining relationships with key public and private sector stakeholders in the Jeddah and Makkah regions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10 to 15 years of professional experience in engineering consultancy, infrastructure, transportation, metro, mobility, or urban development projects.
• Proven experience in multidisciplinary design coordination and project management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and coordinate international design teams.
• Experience on large-scale master planning, infrastructure, metro, mobility, or urban development projects is highly desirable.

Work Environment

This role involves working within an international multidisciplinary design environment, collaborating with leading international consultants and public stakeholders in Saudi Arabia. The position is full-time and based in the Jeddah-Makkah region, with responsibilities spanning Riyadh, Jeddah, and Makkah.
