About the EHS Lead, Grid Technologies Role

Siemens Energy is seeking an EHS Lead for Grid Technologies to join their team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives for the Grid Technologies Service division, ensuring compliance and fostering a strong safety culture across operations.

Role Overview and Impact

As the EHS Leader for Grid Technologies Service in Saudi Arabia, this position is central to maintaining high safety standards. The role encompasses coaching EHS professionals through incident investigations, conducting site audits for modernization projects, and leading toolbox talks to integrate compliance into daily field service operations. Every decision made aims to protect colleagues and contractors working on critical energy infrastructure, build trust with customers, and advance Siemens Energy's Zero Harm culture and mission of energy transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the EHS strategy for GT Service Saudi Arabia, including setting objectives, targets, and performance indicators, and driving continuous improvement.
• Oversee EHS execution across project sites and field service activities nationwide, with a focus on high-risk work such as electrical tasks, HV switching, lifting, confined space entry, and work at height.
• Ensure safe and compliant working conditions in offices, workshops, and warehouses, managing emergency preparedness, fire protection, and occupational health programs.
• Build and sustain a proactive Zero Harm safety culture through coaching managers and field personnel, running safety campaigns, implementing behavioral safety initiatives, and embedding EHS into daily operations.
• Design and deliver EHS training and competency programs to ensure employees and contractors maintain required certifications and capabilities.
• Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysis, manage a team of three EHS professionals, report performance metrics, and lead audits and regulatory inspections.
