Job Description

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Housekeeping Order Taker to join the team in Makkah. This full-time role involves supporting Housekeeping management in daily operations and acting as a central liaison between various departments to ensure efficient room management and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run sold room reports, verify room status, and identify discrepant rooms.
  • Prioritize room cleaning and update the status of departing guest rooms.
  • Coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
  • Document and resolve issues related to discrepant rooms with the Front Desk.
  • Prepare and distribute room assignments to Housekeeping staff.
  • Record, monitor, and update the list of 'Do Not Disturb' rooms.
  • Ensure vacant dirty rooms are cleaned by the required time and assign rush rooms or rooms previously on the 'Do Not Disturb' list.
  • Complete all required Housekeeping paperwork accurately.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, and express genuine appreciation.

Operational Standards and Safety

  • Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
  • Complete all mandatory safety training and certifications.
  • Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience required: 0-1 year in a related field.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Capacity to support team goals and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
  • Proficiency in speaking with others using clear and professional language.
  • Ability to prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
  • Competence in using computers to enter and locate work-related information.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
