This full-time role as an Integration Engineer in Airport Engineering is based in Makkah, with operations in Jeddah and Makkah, and involves integrating complex systems for airport logistics.

Role Overview

As an Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for integrating various components and subsystems into complete solutions for airport automation systems. These systems include electro-mechanical and IT components, requiring integration with other software systems to support customer processes. The role involves testing systems to ensure functionality according to design and identifying problem areas based on technical risk analysis. Integration Engineers contribute to project success through their comprehensive understanding of the system, its operational objectives, and the technical factors involved in its development.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Integration Manager on test designs and test plans based on system design, risk analysis, and customer demands.
• Organize test preparation meetings, both internally and with customers and subcontractors.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the project team and the customer for all Integration and Commissioning matters.
• Create test designs, test cases, and test scripts based on test plans and design documentation, and prepare the test environment.
• Optimize resources and timelines to manage costs effectively.
• Execute integration, system, and customer acceptance tests on-site.
• Analyze and report test results, production problems, and verify solutions.
• Ensure that pertinent Test Records are maintained in accordance with the Integration Plan.
• Discuss results with developers, solution architects, customers, or other team members.
• Prepare and implement procedures for the management of Non-conformities and Corrective Actions, including follow-up and closure.
• Support Lifecycle Services by reviewing proposals and RMRs, ensuring operational readiness of the system.
• Identify areas for improvement based on customer and operational feedback.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

The ideal candidate is an analytical problem solver with a systems perspective, capable of managing detailed tasks while maintaining a view of the overall project. This role requires collaboration within an international multi-disciplinary engineering team.

• A technical degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Industrial Automation, Computer Science, or Control Technology) at bachelor level or higher.
• Desired experience level of 8 years and above, with a total experience range of 5-10 years.
• Ability to actively listen to customers and gather insights regarding their preferences, pain points, and desires.
• Capability to coordinate with different work fronts (installation and commissioning) to verify the completion of areas/elements necessary for tests.
• Pragmatic attitude, balancing quality, lead time, costs, and technology.
• Assertive team player, proactive, takes initiative, and possesses a hands-on attitude.
• Flexibility to adapt strategies in response to new information or market conditions.
• Willingness to take calculated risks and manage uncertainty.
