Laboratory Registrar (Clinical Pathology)

About the Role

Nahdi Medical Co. is seeking a Laboratory Registrar (Clinical Pathology) to join their team in Makkah, Makkah Region. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and is responsible for the overall administration, guidance, and safety of the laboratory, ensuring adherence to established procedures and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review the Quality Control (QC) for all laboratory procedures performed.
• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of all laboratory equipment and facilities.
• Revise and sign off on laboratory tests, providing comments and recommendations for further investigations when necessary.
• Manage laboratory inventory, prepare purchase orders for various suppliers, and track the delivery of all laboratory requirements.
• Prepare unit budgets, accountability reports, and operating and business plans, interacting with administrative and medical personnel on inter-functional aspects such as supplies, equipment, in-service training, and cost analysis.
• Ensure the correct implementation of physical, chemical, and biological safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain physical and environmental health conditions within the laboratory.
• Consult with physicians in clinics and the ER via phone to report high-risk laboratory results for emergency actions.
• Supervise high-complexity tests performed by laboratory personnel.
• Manage training programs and continuous medical education for all laboratory staff.
• Implement proficiency testing programs and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Conduct annual personnel performance evaluations and documentation.
• Establish a mechanism for resolving complaints against the laboratory from staff, the public, or clients.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience is required for this role.

Work Environment

This position is based entirely indoors. The work schedule consists of 6 working days per week with 1 day off. Working hours are 8 net hours daily, determined by a shift schedule approved by the head of the department.
