About the Role

Nahdi Medical Co. is seeking a Laboratory Technique Specialist to perform routine clinical laboratory tests. This full-time position is based in Makkah, Makkah Region, and requires 2-5 years of experience. The specialist will apply fundamental laboratory skills across various fields, including hematology, chemistry, immunohematology, microbiology, immunology, coagulation, and emerging areas like molecular diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive blood and body fluid samples and initiate pre-analytical processing.
  • Perform daily checks on equipment to ensure safety and correct operability.
  • Execute analytical processes on hematology, biochemistry, serology, and hormone laboratory machines.
  • Conduct daily quality control tests on reagents.
  • Analyze blood cells by counting and identifying cells using microscopic techniques.
  • Perform microscopic preparation and examination of urine and stools.
  • Maintain laboratory supplies inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating needs, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
  • Conserve laboratory resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
  • Inform medical staff of critical test results.
  • Prepare reports of technological findings by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops and professional publications.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control and hazardous waste policies.
  • Maintain patient confidence and protect the hospital by keeping information confidential.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a relevant laboratory setting. The role requires proficiency in performing routine clinical laboratory tests and applying basic laboratory skills across various disciplines. Strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and effective communication skills for reporting critical results are essential.

Work Environment and Schedule

This role operates entirely indoors. The work schedule is 6 days per week, with 1 day off. Working hours consist of 8 net hours per day, determined by a shift schedule approved by the head of the department.
