About the Plumber Role at Marriott International

Marriott International is seeking a Plumber to join its team in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are prepared to contribute to maintaining high operational standards. The Plumber will be responsible for addressing various plumbing issues and ensuring the functionality of plumbing systems within the property.

Core Plumbing Responsibilities

The primary duties of this role involve direct engagement with plumbing systems and fixtures, ensuring their proper operation and maintenance. Key responsibilities include:

• Fixing minor plumbing problems, such as unclogging drains.
• Assembling pipe sections, tubing, and fittings as required.
• Filling pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air to detect and locate leaks.
• Measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipe to required angles for installation.
• Installing and maintaining pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, and fixtures.
• Performing miscellaneous minor repairs on plumbing systems.

Technical Operations and Planning

This role also involves technical planning and preventative measures to ensure the longevity and efficiency of plumbing infrastructure. Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing blueprints, building codes, and specifications to ensure compliance.
• Studying building plans and inspecting structures to plan installations effectively.
• Performing preventative maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards in all work performed.

Physical Demands of the Position

• Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 100 pounds.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.

• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time as required by tasks.
