Job Description
About the Role
flyadeal is seeking a Technical Services Engineer to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to managing and coordinating engineering activities within the CAMO department. The role focuses on providing technical guidance to enhance aircraft and engine performance and reliability, while also optimizing cost-related aspects of maintenance and engineering to ensure efficient and sustainable airline operations.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance on the maintenance, repair, overhaul, and modification of aircraft and associated equipment.
- Monitor aircraft defects, operational delays, and engine removals, conducting investigations and recommending appropriate remedial actions.
- Coordinate investigations of incidents and accidents, initiating follow-up actions to address component and system failures.
- Support local modifications, amendments to maintenance schedules, and concessions related to aircraft and components.
- Assist in material management functions, including Airbus FHS engineering and shop visit report analysis.
Technical Oversight and Compliance
- Review technical data from manufacturers and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance, identify opportunities for performance improvements, and achieve cost efficiency.
- Liaise with manufacturers to translate technical bulletins into internal documentation, such as Engineering Orders and Special Work Instructions.
- Evaluate specifications for aircraft modifications and repairs, providing advice on specialized tools and equipment requirements.
- Review and update technical documents, including modifications, Technical Notices, and Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP) Amendments.
Maintenance Cost Management
- Track and manage maintenance and engineering costs for both scheduled and unscheduled activities.
- Perform detailed cost analyses and develop financial reports to support informed decision-making.
- Maintain accurate cost databases and generate regular cost performance reports.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the CAMO department.
Required Experience
Candidates for this position should possess 5 years of relevant experience in a similar technical services or engineering role within the aviation industry.
