About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Medina is seeking an Assistant Consultant, Pediatric Critical Care. This full-time position involves assisting in the provision of medical care within the Pediatric Critical Care field and supervising interns and residents. The role operates in accordance with current medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and the Hospital’s policies and procedures. Candidates should have 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Consultant in providing patient care and management in Pediatric Critical Care, adhering to the Hospital's medical care standards.
• Deliver high-quality patient care across all aspects of Pediatric Critical Care, consistent with approved clinical privileges.
• Provide timely consultations for inpatients and emergency room cases upon request, within the Hospital’s prescribed timeframes.
• Ensure the timely completion, accuracy, and legibility of medical records.
• Provide on-call service, ensuring availability and response within Hospital policy timeframes.
• Conduct daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for discharge and ensure discharge orders are written 24 hours prior.
• Perform other clinical responsibilities related to the specialty as assigned.

Training and Educational Contributions

• Provide orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows as assigned.
• Participate in the department’s educational activities and training programs.
• Engage in national and international medical conferences to further professional development.

Professional Development

The Assistant Consultant is responsible for maintaining and enhancing professional knowledge and fulfilling continuing education requirements to ensure ongoing competency in Pediatric Critical Care.
