About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Mgr Food & Beverage I to oversee all food and beverage operations. This full-time position is based in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia, and requires 5-10 years of relevant experience. The role focuses on ensuring guest and employee satisfaction, maintaining operational standards, and achieving financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all food and beverage operations, including culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service.
  • Develop and implement a business plan for food and beverage departments.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable food and beverage laws and regulations.
  • Develop and manage financial, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction plans.
  • Maintain a positive cost management index for kitchen and restaurant operations.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Supervise and manage daily operations of the Food and Beverage departments.
  • Lead, influence, and encourage team members through strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Foster an environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide proactive coaching and counseling, and respond to employee concerns.
  • Monitor employee productivity and set clear expectations for performance.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and identify developmental needs.

Ensuring Guest Satisfaction

  • Provide excellent customer service and proactively address guest concerns.
  • Understand and drive alignment with the brand's service culture.
  • Set service expectations for all guests and take ownership of complaints until resolution.
  • Verify that all banquet functions meet or exceed guest expectations.
  • Improve service by guiding and coaching individuals to understand guest needs.

Human Resources and Administrative Activities

  • Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting and monitoring performance standards.
  • Promote fair treatment and open-door policies within the department.
  • Identify educational needs, develop training programs, and instruct others.
  • Develop action plans based on employee engagement and guest satisfaction results.
  • Comply with all corporate accounting procedures.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to solve problems effectively.
  • Drive effective departmental communication through logs and meetings.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in food and beverage operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable food and beverage laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial objectives.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage day-to-day operations and ensure quality standards.
