About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Marketing Assistant Manager to join the team in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This contract position is integral to developing and executing property-level communications, promoting on-brand messaging to customers through various channels to enhance the hotel's image. The role supports direct marketing plans, targeted campaigns, and channel activation to increase consumer awareness, market share, and overall brand presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of the annual marketing plan within budget.
• Support Operations, Food & Beverage, and Sales teams in executing promotions targeting in-house guests to drive incremental revenue.
• Collaborate with advertising agencies on creative and media plans for tactical advertising campaigns, particularly for food and beverage promotions.
• Manage F&B media schedules, email marketing, and display advertising.
• Ensure all hotel advertising in digital channels aligns with the brand voice.
• Facilitate social media engagement and content updates across local digital channels, including the hotel website and travel sites.
• Support promotional campaigns for F&B, weddings, spa, rooms, and conferences through relevant digital and social media channels.
• Engage in proactive online reputation management by addressing guest comments on social media.
• Participate in the development of quarterly PR plans with the agency.
• Maintain a comprehensive list of local media contacts, focusing on food critics and bloggers.
• Assist with writing and distributing press releases for property events, promotions, and outlets.
• Support the execution of hotel-sponsored events, community relations activities, and press promotional activities.
• Coordinate photography for F&B advertising, collateral, and public relations purposes.
• Assist with photo shoots for seasonal or festive promotions in partnership with the cluster or area marketing team.
• Coordinate and execute Hotel and F&B printed materials, ensuring compliance with brand standards.
• Manage inventory of all Hotel marketing collateral.
• Support the production of property, F&B display, and temporary signage in hotel public areas.
• Assist in the development, coordination, and execution of all communications activities, including hotel newsletters.
• Provide marketing assistance and act as a subject matter expert for GMs, Sales Leaders and Managers, and Revenue leaders.
• Monitor competitor marketing efforts and evolving digital trends.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 year of relevant experience is required for this role.
• Ability to promote on-brand messaging through traditional, digital, and social media channels.
• Experience in assisting with direct marketing plans and targeted campaigns.
• Familiarity with online program status, performance evaluation, opportunities, and issues.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong communication skills for customer engagement and internal collaboration.
• Proficiency in managing social media content and online reputation.
• Organizational skills for managing media schedules, collateral, and events.
• Ability to work with external vendors and media agencies.
• Attention to detail to ensure brand standard compliance in all marketing materials.

Work Environment

This role involves working closely with the Manager of Marketing and Communication, as well as regional eCommerce and Marketing teams. The position is based in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia, and operates on a contract basis.
