Tibah Airports Operation (طيبة لتشغيل المطارات) is seeking a dedicated QA/QC Engineer to join its team in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is essential for ensuring the highest quality standards across all project phases within the airport operations sector.

Role Summary

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for upholding stringent quality standards, ensuring that all project activities, materials, and deliverables rigorously comply with applicable quality standards, specifications, codes, and contractual requirements. This involves developing and implementing robust quality control procedures, conducting thorough inspections and audits, and continuously driving improvement throughout all project phases to maintain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 and relevant industry standards.
• Prepare and update Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality control procedures, and method statements.
• Conduct site and factory inspections at key stages, including material receipt, in-process checks, and final inspection, to verify compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, and subcontractor quality documentation.
• Witness and coordinate third-party inspections, testing, and certifications as required.
• Identify non-conformances, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) through to closure.
• Conduct internal audits and support external/client audits, preparing audit reports and following up on findings.
• Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, test certificates, and traceability documentation.
• Liaise with project management, engineering, procurement, and site teams to promptly resolve quality issues.
• Support root cause analysis for recurring quality issues and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, industry codes (*, ASME, ASTM, API, BS, EN), and statutory/regulatory requirements.
• Conduct training and toolbox talks to promote quality awareness among site and production personnel.
• Compile quality metrics/KPIs and prepare periodic quality performance reports for management.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in quality assurance and quality control within project environments. A strong understanding and practical application of quality management systems, including ISO 9001, and familiarity with various industry codes such as ASME, ASTM, API, BS, and EN, are essential.
