About the Role

Nahdi Medical Co. is seeking a Laboratory Registrar (Clinical Pathology) to join their team in Najran. This full-time role is central to the overall supervision and administration of the laboratory, ensuring its efficient maintenance, operational guidance, and adherence to safety standards. The Registrar plays a critical part in maintaining the quality and integrity of laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review Quality Control (QC) for all laboratory procedures.
  • Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules for all laboratory equipment and facilities.
  • Revise and sign laboratory tests, providing comments and recommendations for further investigations when necessary.
  • Manage laboratory inventory, initiate purchasing orders, and follow up on the delivery of all required laboratory supplies.
  • Prepare unit budgets, accountability reports, operating and business plans, and collaborate with administrative and medical personnel on inter-functional aspects such as supplies, equipment, in-service training, and cost analysis activities.
  • Ensure strict implementation of physical, chemical, and biological safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain optimal physical and environmental health conditions within the laboratory.
  • Consult with physicians in clinics and the ER via phone to report high-risk laboratory results for emergency actions.
  • Supervise high complexity tests performed by laboratory personnel.
  • Develop and manage training programs and continuous medical education for all laboratory staff.
  • Implement proficiency testing programs and initiate corrective actions as required.
  • Conduct annual personnel performance evaluations and maintain documentation.
  • Establish and ensure a mechanism for resolving complaints against the laboratory from staff, the public, or clients.

Specialty Tasks

  • Perform specific privileges based on acquired training, experience, and skills, in accordance with the guidelines of the Saudi Health Council.
  • Execute additional tasks as defined by specialty and clinical privileges.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience. The role requires a foundational understanding of laboratory operations and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Najran, Saudi Arabia, within a clinical pathology laboratory environment.
