About the HSE Supervisor Role at ACWA Power

ACWA Power is seeking a dedicated HSE Supervisor to join our team in Neom. This full-time role is central to implementing, monitoring, and enforcing Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies and procedures. The primary objective is to ensure a safe and compliant working environment, supporting the organization's commitment to incident prevention, asset protection, and adherence to legal requirements, client standards, and company policies. Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Health and Safety Responsibilities

The HSE Supervisor will oversee daily HSSE activities and ensure robust safety practices are maintained across project sites. Core responsibilities include:

• Supervising daily HSSE operations and conducting routine workplace inspections to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Ensuring strict compliance with company HSSE procedures, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Monitoring the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforcing permit-to-work systems.
• Conducting daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and safety inductions for new employees.
• Participating in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Risk Assessment activities.
• Coordinating site security requirements, ensuring access control procedures are followed, and reporting security incidents.

Incident and Environmental Management

A critical aspect of this role involves proactive incident management and diligent environmental oversight:

• Investigating accidents, incidents, near misses, and property damage events, preparing detailed reports, and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintaining accurate incident records and statistics.
• Monitoring environmental controls, including waste management, pollution prevention, and spill response.
• Ensuring compliance with environmental permits and regulations, conducting environmental inspections and audits, and promoting sustainable work practices.

Compliance, Training, and Emergency Preparedness

The HSE Supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining compliance, fostering a safety culture, and ensuring readiness for emergencies:

• Conducting internal HSSE inspections and audits, tracking corrective actions to closure, and assisting during client and regulatory inspections.
• Ensuring compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and company management systems.
• Delivering HSSE training programs, conducting emergency drills and evacuation exercises, and promoting safety awareness campaigns.
• Mentoring supervisors and workers on safe work practices.
• Participating in emergency preparedness planning, coordinating emergency response teams, and ensuring emergency equipment is available and inspected.
• Maintaining HSSE records and documentation, preparing daily, weekly, and monthly HSSE reports, and updating risk registers.

Work Environment and Scope of Authority

This position is primarily based at construction or industrial project sites, requiring regular site inspections and field monitoring. The role may involve working outdoors in varying weather conditions and requires availability for emergency response outside normal working hours when necessary. The HSE Supervisor is empowered to:

• Stop any work that presents an imminent danger to personnel, equipment, or the environment.
• Enforce compliance with HSSE policies and procedures.
• Recommend disciplinary action for repeated safety violations.
• Initiate corrective and preventive actions to eliminate identified hazards.

Required Experience

Candidates for the HSE Supervisor position must have 2-5 years of experience in a relevant Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental role, preferably within construction or industrial project environments.
