Project Director (Data Center) Tier3

About the Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a highly experienced Project Director - NEOM (Data Center) - Tier-3 to lead large-scale data center construction projects in Neom. This full-time role requires approximately 35 years of experience in construction and infrastructure project management, with a preference for significant experience in data center projects. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and oversee end-to-end project execution.

Role Overview

The Project Director will be responsible for ensuring quality and safety, managing budgets and schedules, and delivering complex data center projects in accordance with client requirements and international standards. This position involves strategic oversight and coordination across multiple project teams and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of large-scale data center construction projects.
• Define project objectives, execution strategies, milestones, resource plans, and delivery schedules.
• Oversee multiple project teams and ensure alignment between design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Provide strategic direction to project managers, construction managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure timely project completion within approved budgets, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

Project Execution and Technical Oversight

• Oversee construction of data center facilities, including shell and core, structural works, architectural finishes, and associated infrastructure.
• Lead coordination of critical MEP systems, including electrical distribution, transformers, generators, UPS systems, cooling systems, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, and fire protection systems.
• Ensure integration of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, ELV, BMS, and other critical building systems.
• Monitor implementation of redundancy and resiliency requirements, such as N+1 and 2N configurations, as specified by the project.
• Oversee integrated testing, commissioning, and handover of critical data center infrastructure.

Qualifications and Experience

• Approximately 35 years of experience in construction and infrastructure project management.
• Significant experience in data center projects is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale, complex projects from inception to completion.
• Strong understanding of international standards and client requirements for data center construction.

Work Environment

This role is based in Neom and is a full-time position. The Project Director will operate within a dynamic environment, managing complex technical and logistical challenges inherent in large-scale data center development.
