The Role: Demand Forecast Analyst (Seafood)

Almarai is seeking a Demand Forecast Analyst for its Seafood Business. This full-time position is based in Rabigh, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role supports the company's ongoing growth plans, driven by aggressive expansion programs and acquisitions in new vertical markets, by ensuring accurate demand planning.

Role Purpose and Context

The primary objective of this role is to prepare and maintain demand forecasts for the Seafood Business, aiming for continuously improved accuracy levels. The analyst will consider a range of factors, including historical sales patterns, market trends, seasonality, past and future events (such as sales and marketing plans), economic conditions, weather patterns, government regulations, and competitive activities. Forecasting will be conducted with the assistance of the PROCAST system, a specialized forecasting software.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure demand planners maintain the IBP system with cleansed and up-to-date data.
• Reconcile all Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) on a weekly basis, broken down by depot.
• Accurately set up all new SKUs and promptly reflect any changes in product or geographic hierarchy within the system.
• Ensure that future and past events are accurately captured and integrated into the IBP system.
• Oversee the weekly-monthly update of rolling 18-month forecasts, detailed by week, depot, and SKU.
• Submit and ensure the incorporation of regional and local level events into the forecast through bottom-up forecasting methodologies.

Required Experience

• Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in demand forecasting or a similar analytical role.
