The Role of Quality Assurance Manager

Almarai is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join its team in Rabigh. This full-time role is central to ensuring adherence to company Quality and Food Safety Policies, Quality Management Systems, and regulatory requirements. The manager will lead all quality-related processes, personnel, and resources within the seafood manufacturing facility, fostering a culture of food safety, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain site Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Food Safety Management Systems.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve HACCP plans and food safety programs in accordance with ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 requirements.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and international food safety certifications.
• Manage laboratory operations, including microbiological, chemical, and product quality testing activities.
• Lead internal and external audits, ensuring successful certification and compliance outcomes.
• Monitor quality KPIs, customer complaints, product non-conformances, recalls, and food safety incidents, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality performance, waste reduction, cost optimization, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage supplier quality performance, including packaging and raw material suppliers.
• Lead hygiene, housekeeping, pest control, and environmental monitoring programs.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the Quality team while building a high-performance culture.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to achieve business objectives.
• Develop annual departmental budgets and ensure effective cost management.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in quality assurance within the food and beverage industry.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Food Safety Management Systems.
• Experience with HACCP, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000 requirements.
• Proven ability to lead and manage quality teams and processes.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia, within a dynamic multinational team dedicated to supporting the group's growth plans.
