About the Role

International Maritime Industries is seeking a Foreman Structural Fitter to join their team in Ras Tannurah, Eastern region. This full-time role is responsible for overseeing all flat block assembly work and related activities, ensuring they are executed safely, effectively, and efficiently. The role holder will ensure adherence to applicable technical specifications, company policies, procedures, and work instructions, while also focusing on continuous improvement in flat block assembly productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all assigned works are executed safely and on schedule.
Verify that all technical drawings and documentation are strictly followed.
Determine the appropriate equipment or method based on project requirements.
Secure valid work permits (Hot/Cold/Isolation, etc.) before initiating any activity.
Attend safety and daily toolbox meetings, understanding the risks involved with each job.
Perform tasks according to specific codes and follow engineering drawings.
Monitor material usage to identify potential shortages and address them promptly.
Examine finished work to ensure it meets IMI quality standards.
Inspect equipment and tools before and during work, ensuring they are maintained in good condition.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security (HSES) responsibilities.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this position should possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field. The role requires a strong understanding of structural fitting processes and the ability to manage flat block assembly in accordance with documented plans and project requirements.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Ras Tannurah, within the Eastern region. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic environment focused on maritime industries, where safety and efficiency are paramount.
