Forging Sr. Engineer

About the Role

Tuwaiq Casting & Forging Company is seeking a Forging Sr. Engineer to join their team in Ras Tannurah, Eastern region. This full-time role is critical for ensuring all forging products meet stringent internal quality standards and customer specifications. The successful candidate will implement and maintain effective quality control processes to minimize defects, improve production efficiency, and ensure compliance with industry standards and certifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the implementation of QC procedures across the forging shop in accordance with organizational procedures and expectations.
• Control non-conforming products within the plant as per the NCR procedure, including internal NCR management.
• Prepare forging Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and product inspection plans for both internal and external purposes to ensure product quality.
• Perform quality inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished forging products, adhering to material standards and API 20B requirements.
• Record inspection results and analyze quality data to identify trends and issues.
• Manage day-to-day inspection activities on the forging shop floor.
• Liaise with third-party inspection agencies for inspection and related activities.
• Responsible for final product clearance based on quality requirements.

Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement

• Analyze root causes of defects and establish corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide quality feedback to improve production processes.

Quality System Management

• Maintain and improve quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and APIQ1.
• Manage customer or third-party audits in conjunction with the Quality Assurance team.

Inspection Equipment Management

• Manage the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
• Operate equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the forging industry. The salary for this position will be discussed during the interview process.
