About the Role

Tuwaiq Casting & Forging Company is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to join its Quality Control Division. This full-time position is based in Ras Tannurah, Eastern region, and reports directly to the QC Manager. The role focuses on ensuring that all casting and forging products meet internal quality standards and customer specifications through effective quality control processes.

Role Purpose and Impact

The Quality Control Engineer plays a critical role in minimizing defects, improving production efficiency, and ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards and certifications. This involves implementing and maintaining robust quality control procedures across all stages of production.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of castings and forgings in accordance with quality procedures and engineering drawings.
• Drive the QC process across the casting shop in line with organizational procedures and expectations.
• Control non-conforming products within the plant according to the NCR procedure, including internal NCR management.
• Prepare casting Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and product inspection plans for both internal and external requirements.
• Perform quality inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Record inspection results and analyze quality data to identify trends and issues.
• Manage day-to-day inspection activities on the casting shop floor.
• Liaise with third-party inspection agencies for inspections and related activities.
• Ensure final product clearance in accordance with quality requirements.
• Coordinate with the team on root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
• Provide quality feedback to support the improvement of production processes.
• Maintain and improve quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and API Q1.
• Manage customer and third-party audits in coordination with the QA function.
• Manage calibration and maintenance of all inspection equipment.
• Operate equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant quality control engineering role.
• Demonstrated experience in quality inspection and control processes for casting and forging products.
• Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and API Q1.
• Experience with non-conforming product procedures and root cause analysis.
