About the Client and Role

Our client, a leading Technology Solutions & Systems Integration provider in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Lead Telecom Engineer. This role supports critical infrastructure and digital transformation projects for national mining and industrial enterprises. The position is a 12-month project-based contract, with potential for extension, located in the Eastern region, specifically Dammam and Ras Tannurah.

Job Summary

The Lead Telecom Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the entire engineering lifecycle, including design review, site installation, testing, and commissioning of specialized telecom and communication systems. This role involves working across remote industrial project sites, leading the site telecom engineering team, coordinating cross-functional site operations, and ensuring strict adherence to project specifications, client standards, and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of comprehensive telecommunications systems.
• Oversee fiber optic networks, structured cabling, IP telephony, data networks, and industrial communication systems.
• Review and validate engineering drawings, specifications, Material Take-Offs (MTOs), and vendor technical submittals.
• Interface with site Engineering, Construction, IT, Network, and Testing & Commissioning (T&C) teams.
• Supervise site installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and QA/QC guidelines.
• Monitor system integration, performance testing, commissioning, and final handover procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical, signal, and site communication issues.
• Coordinate project updates and technical reviews with Clients, Consultants, and material vendors.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, test reports, and final as-built drawings.
• Manage and mentor site telecom engineers and technicians, ensuring safety, quality, and timely work completion.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant telecom engineering role.
• Demonstrated experience in leading the full engineering lifecycle for specialized telecom and communication systems.
• Strong understanding of fiber optic networks, structured cabling, IP telephony, data networks, and industrial communication systems.
• Proficiency in reviewing engineering documentation and ensuring compliance with project standards.

Work Environment and Conditions

This is a full-time, project-based contract position for 12 months. The work will be conducted at remote industrial project sites, located over 40 km outside Dammam, Ras Al-Khair, or Wa'ad Al-Shamal regions. Accommodation will be provided by the company near the project site, set up for individual/single status.
