TELECOM DESIGNER

About the Role

Duncan & Ross is seeking an experienced Telecom Designer to contribute to the design and development of offshore telecommunications systems. This full-time role focuses on supporting an ADNOC offshore project, requiring strong experience in telecom design across FEED and Detailed Engineering phases. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) or E3D and a background in offshore oil & gas projects, with 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare telecom design deliverables for offshore oil & gas projects during FEED and Detailed Design phases.
• Develop telecom equipment layouts, cable routing layouts, cable block diagrams, termination diagrams, hook-up drawings, and installation details.
• Prepare telecom cable schedules, Material Take-Offs (MTOs), and design documentation.
• Design and model telecom systems using SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) or AVEVA E3D.
• Coordinate with Instrumentation, Electrical, Structural, Piping, and Civil disciplines to ensure clash-free and integrated designs.
• Review vendor drawings and incorporate vendor data into project deliverables.
• Ensure designs comply with ADNOC specifications, international codes, and project standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews and model reviews.
• Support construction and commissioning teams by resolving design-related technical queries.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Mandatory experience on ADNOC Offshore projects.
• Strong experience in FEED and Detailed Engineering phases.
• Hands-on experience with SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) or AVEVA E3D.
• Experience in preparing telecom design drawings and 3D models.
• Good knowledge of telecom cable routing and installation practices for offshore facilities.
