Job Description

About the Role

International Maritime Industries is seeking a Security Shift Supervisor to join their team in Ras Tannurah, Eastern region. This full-time role involves overseeing security operations during assigned shifts, ensuring the safety and protection of all patrons, employees, and company assets. The supervisor will also manage programs and processes aimed at reducing and controlling loss time injuries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adequate staffing for all gates, posts, and patrols, arranging for additional security personnel as needed due to absence or increased demand.
  • Verify the availability and operational readiness of all security equipment and tools at supervised gates and locations.
  • Supervise and plan activities for the assigned security shift team, including vehicle and foot patrols.
  • Conduct regular site walk-rounds with security officers to ensure planned operations are executed and escalate any security concerns according to company procedures.
  • Evaluate the performance of security officers, ensuring duties are conducted effectively, and reflect this in annual performance reviews.
  • Implement security improvements directed by the Industrial Security Operation Department to benefit company assets and employees.
  • Investigate all accidents or security incidents occurring during the shift and generate comprehensive reports with all required documentation.
  • Supervise and participate in security drills and firefighting drills as per emergency response protocols, attending and contributing to critique meetings.
  • Monitor the hand-over/take-over and loading/unloading of assigned weapons in accordance with legal government instructions and industrial security operation department operating procedures. Report any loss or damage of weapons.
  • Maintain security control protocols for Shipyard facilities and stockholder assets.
  • Manage technical security incident reports, ensuring clarity in both English and Arabic.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant security role.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee security operations and supervise a team.
  • Proficiency in preparing clear and accurate reports in both English and Arabic.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Ras Tannurah, Eastern region, within a dynamic industrial environment focused on maritime operations. The role requires active supervision and participation in security and emergency response activities.
