Security Shift Supervisor

About the Role

International Maritime Industries is seeking a Security Shift Supervisor to oversee security operations and ensure the safety and protection of all patrons, employees, and company assets. This full-time role involves supervising programs and processes aimed at reducing and controlling loss time injuries, maintaining staffing levels, and investigating incidents.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate staffing for all gates, posts, and patrols, arranging for additional security personnel as needed due to absences or increased requirements.
• Verify the availability and readiness of all security equipment and tools at assigned gates and locations.
• Supervise and plan activities for the security shift team, including vehicle and foot patrols.
• Conduct regular site walk-rounds to ensure security operations are executed as planned and escalate any security concerns according to company procedures.
• Evaluate the performance of security officers, ensuring duties are conducted effectively and reflecting this in annual performance reviews.
• Implement security improvements directed by the Industrial Security Operation Department to benefit company assets and employees.
• Investigate all accidents or security events occurring during the shift and generate comprehensive reports with all necessary documentation.
• Supervise and participate in security and firefighting drills, fulfilling emergency response roles, and attend and contribute to critique meetings.
• Monitor the hand-over/take-over and loading/unloading of assigned weapons in accordance with legal government instructions and industrial security operation department operating procedures, reporting any loss or damage.
• Manage and maintain the security control protocol for Shipyard facilities and stockholder assets.
• Manage technical security incident reports, ensuring clear communication in both English and Arabic.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 11 years of experience in a relevant security role.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise security teams and manage shift operations.
• Proficiency in investigating incidents and compiling accurate reports.
• Strong communication skills in English and Arabic for incident reporting and team coordination.
