Job Description

About Shifter

Shifter is a Saudi B2B delivery orchestration platform based in Riyadh. The company connects merchants with licensed delivery operators through a single platform, offering direct technical integration, a prepaid account, transparent pricing, and agreed-upon service levels. Shifter operates without owning a fleet or employing drivers.

The Account Manager Role

This full-time Account Manager role involves joining Shifter's founding sales team in Riyadh. The position focuses on managing relationships with online stores and retailers across various sectors, including electronics, fashion, flowers, and groceries. Responsibilities span the entire client lifecycle, from initial contact and activation to growth and retention. This role combines new business development with account management and is intended to lay the foundation for a future vertical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Target active online stores and multi-branch retailers, converting same-day delivery promises into measurable services.
  • Develop ship-from-store, express delivery, and returns solutions for merchants.
  • Collaborate with e-commerce platforms and the technology team to streamline integration and activation processes.
  • Manage a monthly quota for new live branches and retained volume, with a benchmark of 20 new live branches per month once ramped.
  • Execute the full sales cycle, including building and qualifying target account lists, scheduling and leading meetings, drafting commercial proposals, negotiating, and signing agreements.
  • Construct proposals based on client data (order volumes, distances, current delivery costs) to demonstrate savings.
  • Maintain at least 3x pipeline coverage against quarterly targets and ensure forecast accuracy within 10%.
  • Oversee activation, growth, and retention post-signing, conducting monthly performance reviews with each account and developing churn-risk plans for underperforming accounts.
  • Log all activities and opportunities in the CRM on the same day; deals are only counted if recorded in the system.
  • Work closely with operations, technology, and compliance teams to ensure smooth merchant onboarding without escalations.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in account management and sales, preferably within a B2B or logistics context. A proven track record in achieving sales quotas and managing client relationships is essential.

Compensation and Benefits

  • A competitive base salary complemented by performance-linked incentives.
  • A founding role offering direct impact on company growth and a clear path to leadership.
  • Medical insurance and benefits in accordance with Saudi Labour Law.
  • A professional work culture emphasizing data, transparency, and ownership.

Application Process

To apply, submit your CV along with three specific numbers: your target attainment over the last four quarters, the largest account you have signed, and the current number of accounts you manage. Applications submitted without these numbers will not be reviewed.
