About the Role at Mudad

Mudad, a semi-governmental entity focused on financial technologies and established in alignment with Saudi Arabia’s National Transformation Program 2020, is seeking an Accountant. This full-time, on-site position is based in Riyadh. The company provides a specialized digital platform to streamline payroll management for businesses across the Kingdom, aiming to enhance the efficiency and quality of wage systems, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Core Responsibilities

The Accountant will manage daily financial and accounting operations, including recording transactions, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing financial reports. Key duties involve handling payroll-related accounting, performing account reconciliations, ensuring financial data accuracy, supporting month-end closing processes, and maintaining compliance with regulations and internal policies. This role requires collaboration with finance, operations, and technology teams to provide financial insights, support budgeting and forecasting, assist with audits, and contribute to improving financial controls and reporting.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proven experience in daily accounting operations, including:
    • Journal entry preparation and posting.
    • Bank reconciliations.
    • Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) management.
    • Support for fixed assets accounting.
    • Periodic reconciliations and account analysis.
  • Experience supporting month-end closing activities and preparing financial reports.
  • Ability to perform financial reconciliations across multiple systems and data sources, identify discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Understanding of key financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement).
  • Practical knowledge of Saudi tax and Zakat requirements.

Technical Proficiencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced), including formulas, Pivot Tables, and Power Query.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting and business intelligence tools.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems; prior exposure to Oracle ERP is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills for reviewing financial data and identifying accounting discrepancies and errors.
