Role Overview

V2X Inc. is seeking an AH-64E Instructor Pilot for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves specialized instruction on the AH-64E aircraft and its supporting simulation devices. The Instructor Pilot will be responsible for conducting various training programs, including initial ATP integration, continuation training, the Initial Aircraft Qualification Course (AQC), and Aircraft Qualification Training (AQT). The position also includes evaluating employee and customer crewmembers based on US Army Aircrew Training Manual (ATM) and MNG Modernization Training Plan requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train and evaluate Aviation pilots on the AH-64E aircraft in accordance with US Army ATM and unit-specific ATP guidelines.
  • Support the development and execution of an Aviation Aircrew Training Program as per customer guidance.
  • Verify that all required flight training publications are current and complete.
  • Conduct and evaluate individual readiness level progression tasks, including instrument flight tasks during day, night, night vision system (NVS), night vision goggle (NVG), and instrument flight rules (IFR) conditions.
  • Prepare crewmembers through realistic mission training flight maneuvers under local environmental conditions, including dust landings and desert-specific weather training.
  • Provide aircrew proficiency training in Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC) both within and outside controlled airspace, adhering to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and/or International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) flight rules.
  • Attend meetings as required by customers.
  • Recommend aviation instructor pilot and Pilot in Command appointments to customer leadership.
  • Attend and provide training and mission planning input to weekly scheduling meetings based on ATP requirements.
  • Act as an ATP mentor within the company standardization and battalion standardization team as needed by the customer, including Master Gunner training and mentorship.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship for field exercises at tenant locations.
  • Perform IP duties at offsite locations based on customer needs.
  • Operate within broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities, with significant choice of methods.
  • Select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.
  • May be assigned as a project lead to support program goals within the guidance of the PWS, including technical writing of aviation documents.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience as an Instructor Pilot specializing in the AH-64E aircraft.
  • Proficiency in delivering academic and hands-on performance training.
  • Ability to administer evaluations to ensure aircrew proficiency.
  • Experience maintaining Individual Aircrew Training Folders (IATF) with required training, currency, and readiness entries.
  • Capability to provide flight instruction in both aircraft and flight training devices, covering contact, basic instrument, and basic combat skills training to meet US Army standards.
  • Familiarity with US Army Aircrew Training Manual (ATM) and MNG Modernization Training Plan requirements.
  • Experience range of 5-10 years is required for this full-time position.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role may require travel to offsite locations based on customer needs, and involves working in various instructional settings including academic classrooms, aircraft, and simulators.
