About the AI Governance Consultant Role

Socium - Teams Done Differently is seeking an AI Governance Consultant to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This contract position is designed for professionals with 5-10 years of experience who are dedicated to establishing and maintaining robust AI governance frameworks within enterprise environments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise AI Governance frameworks, policies, standards, and controls.
  • Conduct AI risk assessments, AI impact assessments, and governance reviews across AI and Generative AI use cases.
  • Establish governance processes for AI lifecycle management, including model inventory, model validation, monitoring, and retirement.
  • Develop controls for Responsible AI, covering fairness, transparency, explainability, accountability, and human oversight.
  • Ensure compliance with AI governance standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Support AI assurance, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with business, technology, risk, compliance, legal, and cybersecurity teams to embed AI governance across the organization.
  • Provide guidance on governance requirements for LLMs, Generative AI, and machine learning solutions.

Candidate Profile and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in AI Governance, Responsible AI, AI Risk Management, Model Governance, or AI Compliance.
  • Proven experience implementing AI governance frameworks within enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of AI lifecycle governance, AI risk management, and AI assurance practices.
  • Experience conducting AI risk assessments, model governance reviews, and compliance evaluations.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, and emerging AI technologies from a governance perspective.

Required Certifications and Framework Expertise

  • AIGP (Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional) certification is preferred.
  • Experience with ISO/IEC 42001 implementation or audit.
  • Strong knowledge of the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF).
  • Familiarity with Responsible AI frameworks, AI assurance practices, and global AI regulations.
  • Knowledge of Saudi AI and data governance regulations (SDAIA, PDPL) is an advantage.

Preferred Industry Background

  • Experience in regulated industries such as Financial Services, Government, Healthcare, Telecommunications, or Energy is preferred.
