Job Description

About the Role

Systems Arabia is seeking an AI Solution Architect specializing in Agentic AI to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves architecting multi-agent and agentic workflow systems, focusing on the orchestration layer, memory design, and tool-use permissioning to ensure autonomous systems are reliable and safe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design multi-agent architectures, including agent roles, coordination patterns, and handoff logic using frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, and CrewAI.
  • Lead agentic workflow design, covering task decomposition, tool-calling, and memory/state management, including knowledge graphs for structured reasoning and long-term memory.
  • Define guardrails for agentic systems, including tool-use permissioning, kill switches, and escalation paths for agent failures.
  • Architect the evaluation framework for agentic systems in collaboration with AI Assurance/QA teams.
  • Lead technical design reviews for agent-based solutions prior to implementation.
  • Design fallback and human-in-the-loop patterns for high-stakes agent decisions.
  • Mentor GenAI Engineers on architecture patterns and review their designs.
  • Present agentic system risk/benefit tradeoffs to client technical and business stakeholders.
  • Own architecture governance for agentic builds across the practice.
  • Facilitate cross-team design reviews involving Security, Governance, and Platform Engineering.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 10-15+ years of experience in software/AI architecture, with at least 2 years specifically in agentic/multi-agent systems.
  • Deep knowledge of agent orchestration frameworks and their failure modes, such as loops, deadlocks, and drift.
  • Experience evaluating and architecting on managed agentic platforms, including Microsoft Azure AI Foundry Agent Service, AWS Bedrock Agents/Strands Agents, and Google Vertex AI Agent Builder, as well as open-source orchestration tools like LangGraph, AutoGen, and CrewAI.
  • Strong fundamentals in systems design, including distributed systems, state machines, and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience designing memory architectures (vector + graph-based) for long-running agents.
  • Familiarity with agent evaluation methodologies and benchmarking approaches.
  • Working knowledge of guardrail/governance tooling for agentic systems.

Required Skills

  • Ability to defend architecture decisions under adversarial technical challenge from client architects.
  • Proficiency in writing clear Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and architecture documentation that is accessible to both engineers and executives.
  • Experience mentoring and leading a technical team, beyond individual design contributions.
  • Comfortable serving as the accountable technical owner when an agentic system fails in production.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, working within a team focused on advanced AI solutions.
