Role Overview
Boutique Group is seeking an Air-Condition & Refrigeration Technician to join the team at The Red Palace in Riyadh. This full-time role involves operating, maintaining, and repairing all refrigeration and air conditioning equipment within the Palace. The Technician will work under the guidance of the Chief Engineer to achieve optimum operating efficiency in accordance with Boutique Group standards. A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, routine, and predictive maintenance on all refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, adhering to PM & RPM Program guidance and manufacturer instructions.
- Operate, control, and document engineering systems and plants through software, including BMS and Auto-Flame, to maintain system temperatures and equipment runtimes.
- Determine priorities for repair work, ensure prompt resolution of breakdowns, and respond to guest maintenance requests within 15 minutes.
- Manage the complete repair and maintenance cycle, from task assignment, parts ordering, quality control, installation, testing, and commissioning, to record completion and updates.
- Control energy management systems, programs, and records to ensure optimal property energy performance and management.
- Oversee storing management, stock movements, and inventory control to ensure full operational support and timely supply of spare parts.
- Support in setting up and maintaining ongoing technical and "On the Job" training programs within the Engineering division.
- Aid the Chief Engineer in coordinating and supervising the Electrical Section, including the proper use of tools, materials, and equipment.
- Control annual maintenance contracts and contractors, ensuring full service delivery and accurate report keeping.
- Conduct continual spot checks and inspections for departmental operations and repair processes to ensure full implementation as per guidance.
- Prepare and maintain all systems, programs, records, and documentation for status inspection and auditing.
Operational Standards and Compliance
- Ensure strict compliance with all applicable health, safety, and regulatory standards, including chemical handling, Material Safety Data Sheet instructions, and emergency procedures.
- Implement, record, and update safety systems and programs as per policies and under the guidance of the Chief Engineer.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of plant rooms, workshops, and surrounding areas, ensuring protection of the environment during job execution.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies for cost control, utility consumption savings, and departmental expense management.
- Ensure all operational processes follow established policies and procedures, with records kept up-to-date for inspections and audits.
- Ensure the validity of all certificates, annual maintenance contracts, warranties, licenses, and SOPs.
- Promote a high level of interaction with other departments and contribute to guest satisfaction through professional conduct and appearance.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience in air-conditioning and refrigeration maintenance, demonstrating strong technical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strict adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. Candidates should be proficient in managing technical documentation and engineering systems, capable of fostering positive working relationships with colleagues, and prepared to stay abreast of current industry technology. Familiarity with fire and safety precautions and emergency procedures is essential, along with a willingness to cross-train in fields such as HVAC and plant mechanics.

This full-time position is based in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, and conduct, providing courteous and professional service at all times. Punctuality and a well-groomed appearance are required. The role involves attending operational meetings and training programs as required by the Chief Engineer, and maintaining a clean and tidy appearance when working in guestrooms or public areas.
