Airport Services Duty Supervisor

About the Role

Qatar Airways Ground Services is seeking an Airport Services Duty Supervisor to be based in Riyadh, KSA. This full-time role involves supervising a team to deliver customer service and support airport operations, reporting directly to the Duty Officer. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the station coordinator, liaising between the ground handling agent and Qatar Airways.
• Supervise the airport team to ensure on-time flight closure and passenger boarding, contributing to overall on-time performance.
• Plan efficient duty allocations for Customer Service Agents during duty periods.
• Provide support to the Airport Services Duty Officer during flight disruptions, misconnections, and other passenger-related issues.
• Perform aircraft turnaround checks (ATC) as assigned by the Airport Services Manager to ensure safe ground ramp operations.
• Generate various reports and maintain a tidy workplace, offering support to the Airport Services Manager.
• Serve as the primary contact for agents requiring assistance with questions, problems, or discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, security, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant College or University qualification.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in an airline or a reputable Ground Handling Operations at a supervisory level.
• Experience in areas such as Passenger Services, Baggage Services, Ground Operations, Dangerous Goods Regulations, and ramp handling.

Required Skills

• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English.
• Knowledge of Weight and Balance, Ramp handling, and Dangerous Goods Regulations.
• Ability to perform duties under pressure while maintaining high customer service standards.
• Good understanding of conditions of carriage and International Civil Aviation Safety and Security procedures.
• High level of computer literacy.
• Strong customer focus and service delivery orientation.

Work Environment

The Airport Services Duty Supervisor will operate within the Ground Services team in Riyadh, KSA, supporting the Airport Services Manager and reporting to the Duty Officer. The role involves managing daily airport operations and addressing challenges such as flight delays, disruptions, and denied boarding.
